November Zone Conferences

We will be traveling the state of Florida this month for Zone Conference.  We just finished 4 great days with Pres. and Sister Jensen in the Tallahassee Mission and this week we are with the Anderson's in the Ft. Lauderdale mission and next week we will be with the Summerhays' for two days of Zone Conference with them.

So now some pictures from the Tallahassee Mission Zone Conferences in Pensecola, Ft Walton Beach, Panama City Florida and  Mobile Alabama.

She wanted us to know that she voted for Mr. Romney
After the 1st conference in Pensecola FL the Jensen's invited us to dinner with the assistant's at  a place in Foley, AL called Lambert's  House of Throwed Rolls
They have two other places both in MO so that tells you something right off about what this place is like.  Very FUN.
This must be at least picture try #10 for a Throwed Roll

Some where in this shot is a "throwed roll" but it also gives you a bit more of the flavor of the establishment.

More "flavor" of decor

On the right; Elder Mallory, Elder Norton, Elder Rose. And on the left Pres. Jensen, Sister Jensen (hiding? not her at all) Sister Rose.
Those who fed us in one of the chapels

These folks who come and prepare lunch for the missionaries are the sweetest people.  The young man in the back with the glasses and grey t-shirt is home just about 2 weeks and will be heading to college in January.  He liked rubbing shoulders with the Elders and they with him.
Talent of an Elder

President Jensen is a fun and interesting  individual.  He is a teacher, coach and farmer from Delta UT and a more loving man you will never meet.  His missionaries love him and they know that he loves them.  At every ZC he makes time for about 3 talents in the AM and 3 in the PM.  This one was interesting because two combined and while one played beautiful hymn adaptations the other had several of his art works in a thumb drive that he showed on the wall. He told us about some of them, he draws them for investigators when they get baptized or have a birthday.  If they are struggling with a principle he will draw for them something he feels will help them to overcome their concerns or double.  This one I think is Moroni at the restoration.

Pres. is very strict about when they can play their instruments, only at certain times on P-day and 1/2 before bed if everything else is done.  This elder played beautifully

I think this Elder's name is Kim.  He is Korean and had never played a piano until he got to the MTC.  One day he sat down and started messing around there and realized that if he knew the tune his fingers seemed to be able to play it.  A couple of other elders who had, had lessons showed him a few things while they were there and he was off and running.  Now while the others are playing ball on P-day he is at the piano playing and singing the hymns.  He makes up beautiful accompaniments with his left hand is very good at the melody if he can sing it.

We love going to Zone Conference!  These young people have a real spirit about them.

I love the picture of the restaurant! There is a wagon up on the ceiling that looks like it could fall at any moment! ha!
I bet it is so fun to be around those elders--especially when they are all together. :)
